Disaster response is the second phase of the disaster management cycle consists of number of factors like warning,search and rescue,providing immediate help, analyzing damage,continue help and immediate restoration of infrastructure. The aim of disaster response is to provide a immediate help to maintain life, improve health and support the morale of the affected population. The main responibility to address these needs and respond to a disaster lies with the government or governments in whose territory the disaster has occurred.

Friends Of India Foundation is fully committed in its aim to respond to all disaster situations wherein human lives and livelihoods are critical. Therefore FOIF directly engaging with affected communities.

Friends Of India Foundation personally feels that awareness can be spread in many ways at personal & public level by encouraging people around  us through various means like,Posters,notices,banners,pamphlets, by making announcement about the latest update as awareness campaign on  disaster response etc…. Therefore we can spread the awareness & knowledge by such factors like don’t get panic, move towards safe place, stay together with your family members,  ask for help from disaster recovery volunteers etc.
